A Green Card is an international insurance document for motorists to be able to travel in their vehicle to a European Union member state which proves that they have the necessary insurance cover.
On the 31st January 2020, the UK will no longer be a part of the European Union and therefore cannot travel without proof.
You will need to obtain a Green Card if you are looking to travel to within the European Union after the 31st December 2020, once the implementation period is over.
If you are planning on travelling in your vehicle to a European Union member state, you will need to physically take with you your Green Card. This is proof that you are permitted to drive in the country you are travelling in.

When requesting your green card please specify what dates you will require it for and each country you are intending to drive in.
You can obtain your Green Card via email (downloadable) which you will need to print off yourself on green paper or we can issue your Green Card by post. Please note if you require your Green Card to be sent by post you may incur a small fee.
Please ensure you request your Green Card at least 14 days ahead of travel.
